this was my first addition to "Hue's That Girl" collection. i felt called to embrace an approachable backdrop (black) and welcomed depth, repetition, and texture through patchwork. The collage came from my bag o scraps, and mostly consists of a cut up blazer, curtain, and some shirts. My favorite part about these is the clean rips on the front and back. I always love a lil leggy leg 😈 it's safe to say these will always be a classic in the world of @thecolorduchess 💜

hearing that "you betta werk auntie" will get me every time! 😍💜✨🙌🏾 i decided the last possible second how the flood would flow #impulsive 😅

last week i presented a collection of work entitled "Hue's That Girl" which is a celebration of color, confidence, and self-expression.
i curated an experience that told the story of Philly as my beloved birthplace and its influence on my cultural and artistic compass.

much gratitude to the beautiful models who were adorned in #thecolorduchess! this year has been showing out thus far, i am VERY excited for what's next!!

i had to jump right back into finishing up this commission, BUT i will be sharing some looks soon!!! 💜✨🙌🏾

i'm thankful that this chapter grants me substantial time out of office, because that's what keeps me grounded and attuned to my creative rhythm.

on one hand, it's expected and respected to be laser focused on developing your craft... but on the other hand, it's hard to see the bigger picture if you don't come up for air and smell the roses.

this season, make a mission to plant seeds of love and reciprocity with your tribe, and later make note of how it impacts your creative process.

and within that, choose peace 💜
