the unpredictability of my schedule kept me from p the unpredictability of my schedule kept me from participating in @phillyveganrestaurantweek how i wanted to. but i did manage to skip on over to @chestnuthillbrewingcompany for my favorite vegetal apps ๐Ÿ˜‹ now, let me say, i've been getting this buffalo cauliflower for some years, but last night they were cooked like somebody's mom was trying to impress the high school football coach ๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ’œ texture, taste, temperature โญ๏ธ X ๐Ÿ”Ÿ
started my birthday with THEE most flavorful, well started my birthday with THEE most flavorful, well balanced, and indulgent plant-based meal Iโ€™ve had in all my 9 vegan years. @fitzon4th is an amazing experience nestled in a very cozy and intimate spot. our server Meg was a breath of fresh air, and her energy set the tone for a relaxing delightful evening. I left with nothing to critique (which for me is uncommonโ€”IYKYK ๐Ÿ˜ตโ€๐Ÿ’ซ๐Ÿซ  โœจitโ€™s not everyday that you get to meet the woman behind the magic, so it was equally great to give Alison her flowers! ๐Ÿ’œ i am counting down until my next visit for more toothsome tapas!!
Iโ€™ve been putting off retwisting my hair, but I Iโ€™ve been putting off retwisting my hair, but I finally got to it. it took 4 hours one day, 6 hours the next. i had intentions to capture my whole process on camera and get some good content. but see, ol girl consistently kept bringing me pretend tea and running in and out for for potty timeโ€”which always entails a hand washing songโ€ฆ every.single.time. so my content vision went out the window, and this is what I got instead ๐Ÿ˜ตโ€๐Ÿ’ซ๐Ÿ˜‚ angles ainโ€™t but so bad but itโ€™s certainly not what i had in mind. the old me wouldโ€™ve scrapped ALL OF IT and waited for the โ€œrightโ€ content moment: a perfect setup with uninterrupted time, and a semi-organized space. but this past year taught me that this creative motherhood journey is not about waiting for perfect conditions. itโ€™s all about building IN the chaos, not seeing what you can come up with after the smoke clears. so yโ€™all, Iโ€™m posting what I have instead of not posting at allโ€ฆ now if youโ€™re a creative mom waiting for the โ€œright timeโ€ to start - let this be your sign. the interrupted process IS the content. done is better than perfect!!! & sometimes, done means perfect. iโ€™m oddly enjoying this unconventional spin on things, ๐Ÿฅด now letโ€™s see where it takes us LOL I canโ€™t be the only one who is building something in the tiny margins between pretend tea parties and having real deadlines!
